AHEPA Odyssey Charter School

Dear Brothers & Sisters in our AHEPA Family, The AHEPA District 5 Lodge wishes to thank each and every one of you, locally, nationally and internationally, whom attended the February 2, 2019 AHEPA Regional Banquet benefiting the Odyssey Charter School. This was a first ever AHEPA Regional Banquet in District Five, and one that will be remembered for many years to come. We thank the local committee members, the school’s board, our respective AHEPA and Daughters Supreme Lodges leaders for promoting this event and our District Five AHEPA and Daughters lodges. Most of all we thank you the participants at the Gala itself.
We look forward to greater assistance and cooperation on this superior method of promoting Hellenism, through Education and thus serving the very core of our mission as members of AHEPA.

Fraternally,
Dimitrios Rozanitis, District 5 Governor
On behalf of your District 5 Lodge

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after you have been through a traumatic event. During this type of event, you think that your life or other’s lives are in danger. You may feel afraid or feel that you have no control over what is happening.

AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors can help create customized training programs for PTSD Service Dogs to help those who are suffering and living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

The program raises much needed funds to purchase service dogs for wounded warriors suffering from PTSD. Click here to learn more.

Journey to Greece 2024

AHEPA is proud to offer emerging young students and future leaders of our diaspora the exciting opportunity to participate in our premier educational program, Journey to Greece.

Established in 1968, the Journey to Greece program provides an opportunity for our youth to visit Greece and earn six college credits in the process!

This year, the Supreme President has made the promotion of the Journey to Greece Program one of his primary initiatives and has encouraged chapters from all over the AHEPA domain to not just help fundraise and support it, but to send students from their communities.

AHEPA is proud to announce that we are able to cover the FULL TUITION (for each student that attends the Journey to Greece Program. That means that each participant is only responsible for their own airfare and the administrative fee!

We’ve also managed to make room for a few more students to join this year’s excursion, so please urge anybody interested to make sure to get applications in by the new deadline of Friday, May 3, 2024!

Take advantage of this opportunity while it lasts!

AHEPA Cancer Research Foundation

AHEPA Cancer Research Foundation
The mission of the Foundation is to facilitate fundraising and to award grants to scientists and medical research institutions whose primary goal is to find a cure for cancer. Click here to learn more.

The Foundation has a fiduciary responsibility to raise and maintain funds to ensure that funds will be available to provide cancer research grants.

  • 100% of proceeds are donated directly to Cancer research.
  • Funds are awarded to 3 local institutions.
  • We have supported the development of 2 patented medicines.

The Foundation was formed in October 1988, by the Fifth District Order of AHEPA to raise funds from its members and the general public for research grants. Shortly after, the Fifth District Daughters of Penelope came on board uniting the AHEPA Family behind a common cause of philanthropic support of cancer research.

The Foundation volunteers began their fundraising efforts in March of 1989. Armed with collection canisters thus inaugurated the humble beginnings of collecting donations to provide funding for cancer research.
